Oidium is one of the main diseases affecting the vine; it is also called white desease, fog or albugine, is a trophic disease of the plants caused by Ascomycota fungi of the family of the Erysiphaceae in the asexual phase of the cycle, in the past identified with the genus of imperfect fungi Oidium. A common characteristic of the Oidium is producing conidiophoric hyphae ending in conidiospore chains, called oidiospore, which attack the plant by establishing a mechanism of forced parasitism, in which the plant is progressively damaged at the expense of spore growth.
Here we present a scientific study commissioned to Spevis, an experimental station for sustainable viticulture led by Dr. Ruggero Mazzilli, in the 2017 vintage.
The main purpose of the study was to determine the real effectiveness of different protocols with treatments based on micronized chabasite zeolitites, in association with traditional copper and sulfur products.
In this document you will find many useful data, on all the different treatments and their frequency, the dosages and the names of the products used that we trust can be useful for anyone wishing to approach the use of this product.
